A Marriott Doesn’t Lower Its Standard. Ever.
The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is a AAA Diamond property — one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Their parking structure sees constant traffic from guests, convention attendees, and downtown KC visitors every single day. Years of heavy use had left embedded oil, tire film, and traffic grime baked into both levels of concrete.
Cleaning it required more than pressure — it needed to be genuinely clean. Pre-treatment on the oil-heavy zones. Deep scrubbing on every drive lane and parking bay. Detail work on the columns, curbs, and tight corners that a ride-on machine can’t reach alone. And all of it without disrupting hotel operations or inconveniencing a single guest.
KC Splash brought the full setup: two trucks, a Bigfoot trailer system, a Cub Cadet ride-on surface cleaner, and a full crew. They were going to need every bit of it — and more.

6 AM to 6 PM. Every Piece of Equipment Broke.
The plan: stage at midnight, roll in at 6 AM, clean the upper 70,000 square feet, done in five hours. It didn’t go that way.
Within the first few hours the front spray bar broke. Then the rear spray bar. One engine went down. Then the second. By mid-morning the crew was running on a single engine and hand wands — doing by hand what the surface cleaner should have been doing on its own.
The garage added to it. Dense columns throughout meant the ride-on equipment couldn’t move freely — every column base, curb, and tight bay corner needed hand detail work. The floor drains weren’t draining — the crew snaked them. The water supply ran slow — they waited and kept moving. Twelve hours after they started, the upper level was done. Cleaned to standard. Open for parking.
