Do you flush the downspouts (gutter flushing) or just clear the gutters?
Both — and the flush is the part that matters most. A gutter can look clean but still have a plugged downspout that sends water down your foundation. We run water through every downspout to confirm it flows free before we call the job done. You get before-and-after photos showing water moving freely through each downspout.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
For most Kansas City homes, twice a year — spring and fall — keeps them flowing, especially with mature trees nearby. Homes with lots of tree cover may want an extra visit after peak leaf drop. We’ll recommend what fits your property. Full guide: how gutter cleaning is done right.
Do you haul the debris away?
No — and we don’t need to. We blow the debris out of the troughs to the ground, then blow it off your driveway, walks and beds into the grass. Most of the time it is a very light layer that disappears with the next mow, and we clean up after ourselves before we leave.
Will you tell me if something’s damaged up there?
Absolutely. While we’re on the ladders we keep an eye out for loose hangers, separations, and fascia issues, and we’ll give you an honest heads-up so you can address them before they turn into bigger problems.
Do you clean gutter guards or gutters with covers?
No — we don’t service gutter guards or covered gutter systems. Cleaning and flushing properly under and around covers takes more time and handling than it’s worth, so we’d rather be straight with you that it isn’t a service we offer than do it halfway.
Can you handle two-story and steep homes?
Absolutely. We are fully insured and equipped for two-story and steep-roof homes, so you never have to get on a ladder yourself.
Which Kansas City areas do your gutter cleaners serve?
Gutter cleaning in Parkville and the Northland is where we started, and it is still our home turf — Parkville, Platte City, Liberty, Gladstone, Riverside and North Kansas City. Farther out across the metro, on both the Missouri and Kansas sides, we take on gutters as part of a house wash or a commercial job rather than as a stand-alone call. Can you get rid of the black streaks on the outside of my gutters?
That is a different job. Gutter cleaning clears the inside of the troughs and downspouts. The black “tiger stripes” on the outside face come off with gutter brightening — a separate, hand-polished add-on we can quote alongside a house wash.
What if a downspout is completely clogged?
We clear it. First we run a pressure washer down from the top; if it is still blocked we run a jetter hose from the bottom up, at about 10 gallons a minute, until it flows clean. A washer and a jetter ride on every KC Splash rig, which is how we get a downspout moving when scooping and blowing alone will not.
What if my downspout runs into an underground drain?
We clean the gutter and the downspout all the way down to where it enters the ground, and confirm water is flowing into it. Clearing the buried pipe itself is a separate job — mention it when you book and we will tell you up front whether it is something we take on.
Is gutter cleaning included in a house wash?
No — they are two different services. A house wash cleans the outside of your gutters along with the siding; gutter cleaning clears the inside and flushes the downspouts. Book them together and the bundle discount applies.
